A GAS LAMP NEEDED.
iTo The Editor. 1 Sir, — I think the Borough Council’s attention should be draxvn to the need for a lamp at the corner of Peel Street and Gladstone Road, xvhere the Bank of New South Wales is situated. Last night I witnessed a narrow escape from a trap accident there oxving to the darkness. This is the busiest corner in toAvn, and certainly the need of a lamp there is apparent to anyone, pedestrians and equestrians. _ Hoping to see the necessary authority issued, — I am, etc., “PASSER BY.”
