The owners of the Waratah cling to the idea that the steamer is drifting owing to having disabled machinery. (Received August 8, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 7. The Waratah took 300 tons of coal on the bridge deck after discharging her cargo at Durban. The cruisers sent to search for her have not yet returned.
