THE TUAHINE LIGHT.

THE OPENING CEREMONY

As the Hon. Jas. Carroll will arrive in Gisborne on Saturday to _ formally open and take over the new lighthouse erected on Tuahine Point, Wainui beach, an informal meeting of the Harbor Board was held yesterday afternoon to make arrangements for the ceremony. Drags will leave the Harbor Board office for Wainui at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the early hour being necessary as it is only possible to reach the light at low tide; and about a quarter of a mile will have to be covered on foot.
