REPORT OF WHISKY COMMISSION

The Royal Commission on whisky reports that the evidence has failed to establish that any particular variety of whisky is specially deleterious. Neither medical and hospital nor distillery evidence showed that pot-still whisky was necessarily more wholesome than pa-tent-still spirit.

THE ATLANTIC PASSAGE—SHORTENING THE JOURNEY. The Cunard liners from' this month onwards will land passengers and mails at Fishguard, Pembrokeshire.
