The Auckland Presbytery unanimonfflly passed an overture to the General Assembly to place on record its deep regret that Christian nations find it necessarv to depend so much on armaments, deploring the breach of friendly feeling betAA'een Britain and Germany, and toAvards the healing of the same send more cordial fraternal greetings to Christian churches in Germany that they may unite with the church here in prayer that the two nations be brought nearer to each other in ties of lasting friendship for the maintenance of the international peace, reduction of oppressive armaments and the promotion of righteousness among the nations.
