BUSINESS NOTES.
Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons, auctioneers, The Haymarket, Auckland, have received instructions from the executors of the late Mr. C. W. Griffith to sell the well-known trotting stallion Victor Royal by auction at Auckland on Friday, August 27th, at noon. Mr. W. Lissant Clayton, wishes to obtain, for a client, the lease of about 20 acres of good, dairying land with a house. The Kia Ora. 00-operative Dairy Co. invites tenders, closing on August 28, for next season’s carting. The New Zealand Trade Exchange, Christchurch, advertises a number of businesses in various parts of the country for sale. The.Matawhero stock sales this week will be held on Wednesday. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Common, Shelton and Co., and Dalgety and Co. advertise their present entries in this issue. Mr. J. Jowers, of the Gisborne Confectionery Works, who lias installed up-to-date machinery ,informs confectioners, storekeepers, and the general public that he is prepared to supply confectionery of excellent quality at reasonable prices, and trusts to merit a share of public'patronage. Applications for the position of manager of the Gisborne Co-operative'Meat .Supply Co. will be received by Mr. 11. E, Dodd',' secretary, till Tuesday, August 31st.
