Advices from Simla state that forty breech-loaders and 2000 cartridges have been captured near Nowshera, while being smuggled into the Swat Valley from Afghanistan, via Kohat Pass. This is regarded as a clear indication < that abundant supplies of arms come across the frontier owing to gun running at Muscat.
