When the shift went for lamps they were refused till the - deposit was made. The men returned to their huts. The same thing occurred to the day shift, and will in all. likelihood happen to til© afternoon shift, , Otira is quiet. The men agreed to' this course, at a meeting at which 120' rtcre present, and contend that as they are prepared to go to work, a lock-out is in existence. Mr McLean is absent in Auckland.
