ARRIVAL IN AUSTRALIA. : INTERVIEWED AT PERTH. United Press Association— Copyright PERTH, August 18. John Foster Fraser, the English journalist and author, arrived by the - s.s. Morea. In an interview he stated he Trill stay in Australia till the British Parliament meets in January. He intends to oppose Mr Ramsay MacDonald at the next election. One of the . subjects of inquiry he is to make is as to female suffrage, which he favors, and lie is sure it will come in England one of these days. Referring to European affairs he said as things now stand there was constant dread of an explosion. First there was the struggle between Britain and Germany for sea supremacy, then the Balkans trouble, also there was hound to be trou-
ble in Austria-Hungary when the old Emperor dies. He is not sure that the explosion would originate in one of the big Powers; it was more likely to came in the form of a Balkan dispute.
