ATHLETIC UNION—OTAGO CENTRE. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, August 18. At the annual meeting of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand Athletic Union, a motion was carried expressing the opinion that the Union should assume control on* cycling, and that the Executive be saked to take the matter into consideration. A deputation from >o Pipers’ and Dancers’ Association waited on the Centre with reference to the question of handing over the control of piping and dancing to the Association. The meeting decided that,it could not see its way to recommend that the control he handed over as asked.
