LARGE ARRIVALS OF FRENCH SETTLERS. ASSISTED BY FRENCH GOVERNMENT. United Press Association —Copyright. . MELBOURNE, August 19. The secretary of Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian Church has bgen advised that large contingents of French settlers are arriving at the New Hebrides by each steamer. Special arrangements for their speedy settlement have been made. The French Government has also voted considerable sums of money towards fighting the French settlers 1 cases before the approaching Anglo-French Land Court.
