The Maharajah of Jaipur has warned his subjects to avoid the mad and wicked movement against the English rule. He ordered prosecution for the punishment of preachers of sedition, whether publicly or privately. [Jaipur, or Jeypore, is a protected Native State in Rajputana, with an area of about 14,000 square miles and a population of about three millions, chiefly Hindus. The predecessor of the present Maharajah was eminently loyal during the Indian Mutiny -(1857-8), and was rewarded with an extension of territory.!
