THE NAPIER COMPETITIONS. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, August 19. The musical and elocutionary competitions were continued in the Theatre Royal this evening, in the presence of a large audience. The results were:—Vocal Solo (girls under IS). —Miss E. M. Baddelly (Kimbolton), 84 points, 1; Miss D. Shattkv (Hastings), 83 points, Violin Solo (intermediate).—-Master P, W. Lascelles (Napier), 84 points, 1; Master J. Snodgrass (Napier) 82 points, Baritone Solo.—R. G- Blow (Wellington), 82 points, 1; D. Page (Napier), 80 points, 2. _ Sacred Solo (sopynno). —Miss L. lv. Bear (Napier), 76 points, 1; Miss RHandley (Blenheim), 74 points, 2. Recitation (Wolsey’s speech).--Miss A Evans (Napier), 92 points, 1; Miss L. Arnold (Masterton), SS points, 2. Sacred Solo (for mezzo-sopranos).—-Miss Handley (Blenheim), 80 points, 1 ; Mrs. H. Beebe (Napier) 75 points, 2. Violin Solo (senior)—Master F. EWilloughby (Hastings), 78 points, 1; Master J. D. A. Bnasco (Napier), 75 points, 2.
