In a test case arising out of the Mines Eight Hours’ Act, where the men refused to work an extra hour on -two successive days, the Stipendiary Magistrate at Rhondda held that there should be nine hours a day on 60 days annually, and the remaining days eight hours each. Judgment was given for the employers. An appeal was entered.
