Reuter’s Ottawa correspondent states that official confirmation is lacking to a report that Canada withdraws from the proposed Imperial Conference respecting a cheaper cable service for the Empire. Canada’s desire for delay is due to the difficulty of reaching an agreement with the land companies. A commission is about to investigate the tolls charged by the companies.
