HOSPITAL SOCIAL.
ELECTION OF COMMITTEE.
A largely attended meeting in connection with the Hospital Social was held at the Borough Council Chambers last evening, Mr, C. F. Lewis in the chair. The price of tickets for the social was - fixed at se, with extra lady’s ticket at 2s 6d. The price of tickets for the children’s social was- fixed at 3s, to admit , one adult and two children. The following were appointed a general committee with power to add to their number: The Hon. Jas. Carroll, the Hon. Captain Tucker, Messrs J. Townley, A. F. Matthews, F. J. Lysnar, C. F. Lewis, E. J. Brady, M. Segedin, R. G. Hahamore, W. Withers, A. Sawvcr, F. C. Fiddv, C. Knopp, C. J. Bollon, W. Hackett', E. G. Matthews J. R. Little. A. Dewing, E. H. Mann, J. W. Bright,'W. D. S. MacDonald, M.P., A, Tuqky, the Mayor and Borough Councillors, the members of the Cook and Waikohu County Councils, and Gisborne Harbor Board, Messrs V. J. -Bennett,L. T. J. Brown, D. J. Barry, F. Hall; JLucas, J. H. Martin, A. F. Kennedy, - J. J. Martin, A. Z&ckariab, T. A. Colemon, Captains Sewell and Gumming, \V. F. Ctederwall, C. Hamilton, JPovnter, G. Miller, W. Miller, H. Miller' J. W. J. Preston, Drs. Schumacher, Scott. Reeve, Morrison, Wilson. Williams, Young, Collins, Coker, and* McKee; Messrs Stopkensoii, O. JParker, C. Noonan, R. S. Chilton, D. Hepburn, the Rev. Father Lane and the Rev. L. Dawson Thomas. Sub-committees wore also appointed, ■ and tho Mayoress will arrange to forma ladies’ committee to provide tho eupper. The City Band has agreed to provide the music for the dances, and Mr. Wootton’s offer to provide the. music* for the extras was accepted.
