WELLINGTON MILK SUPPLY
PROPOSED LEGISLATION. (Per Presa Aaiiociation.? WELLINGTON, August 23. Steps are being taken by the City Council to have a Milk Supply Bill introduced to Parliament during the coming session, in ordpj~ that authority may be obtained by the Council to establish a milk station at which the milk supply of the city would be_ treated and distributed. The Bill will also confer on the Council power to buy and sell milk and dairy produce, to manufacture butter, provide cool storage, and to act generally as a dealer in milk and butter. In all, the Bill will contain eighteen clauses, and amongst them is one to empower the Council to subsidise visiting nurses, and to supply milk to the poor of Wellington.
