Tucker, ann Messrs Kirk, Somervell, Darton, Petrie, Smith, Harris, Clayton, and Maynard. . Assistance of a temporary nature was granted to an elderly man, and it was decided to obtain further information in the case of another applicant, a mid-dle-aged woman. Permission was granted to a man to re-enter the Old Aden’s Home as an inmate. The matter was left in the bauds of the Visiting Committee to report. ; ' The A r isiting Committee reported as follows:—“Your Committee have to report that the applications for relief during the past, months have been very light indeed, only two old men being admitted to the Home, whilst a man, aged 47, was assisted with a fare to Napier. Your Committee consider that it is necessary that the outside of the buildings be painted, and would suggest that-tenders be called for such painting, together with the inside of the kitchen.. The number of inmates in the institution at present is 18, 16 males and two females.” The report was adopted, and it was decided that the necessary work be carried out.
