Many tones are entirely new and decidedly elusive. It is in fad a “ season of tones," all colours being prominent, but modified and disguised. French notelty lengths come in some lovely new fabrics, foremost among which are the new diap Ottomans and drap Chiffons. To describe them is impossible. To get any idea or their beauty, one must see them. < In washing materials, Zeyphrs seem to be the favouritee, but there are lots of new weaves that are bound to take your fancy. . lovely New Silks Silks give excellent service for spring garments, whether for indoor or street tvear, and the various weaves and finishes make them adaptable for both dressy gowns and more serviceable frocks. Dressy gowns are made of heavy satin silks, among which the new wool-lock “ Satin de Luxe and “ Satin Floresca ” stands high in favour. For.more useful frocks Honan China Silks are much worn. They stand a lot of wear and always retain their bright and glossy finish. Cur stock of silks has been selected with great care. You are bound to admire the many beautiful weaves and colourings. Costumes and Dresses The best designers have contributed to our showing of new apparel for Spring. Every new style is here for your inspection. A visit will be of inestimable value to your knowledge of proper dress. The Costumes are made fairly plain, with just a suggestion of trimming in the shape of braid or silk. They come mostly in cut-away styles, while some have the new pointed fronts, now so much in evidence at home. The Materials used are French novelty worsteds and Ottomans, while plain cloths and diagonals are still in evidence. The new dresses of Zeyphrs and Cambrics come in a variety of pretty styles and eelourings, and the assortment of muslin frocks in both plain and coloured is bewildering. 1 Blouses The Blouses for the Spring Seaton are as usual things of beauty.
