LONDON, August 31
A corporal disappeared from the barracks at Chalons, North France, with the plans of a machine gun of the latest pattern. The affair is grave, as the gun’s construction was a secret. The authorities are making a great effort to capture the corporal before he will be able to . communicate the secret to a foreign Power.
