HOCKEY.
HIGH SCHOOL v. HASTINGS SCHOOL. The Hastings School girls’ hockey team arrives this morning, and will remain here until Sunday week. During their stay the visitors will play several hockey ’matches, and arrangements have been made for entertaining by the Gisborne girls, and everything will be done to ensure a pleasant holiday for the visitors. The Gisborne team if* as follows: —Goalkeeper, Adelaide Fairlie; full-backs, Jessie Ferguson (rice-captain), and Miriam Thelwall; halves, Ivy Parker (captain) and Frances Aylward; forwards, Mary McConnell, Elsie Nield, Elsie Morell, and Winnie East ; emergencies, Amelia Priestly and Florence Nicolas.
