SITTINGS AT WELLINGTON. - [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. At the Supreme Court yesterday, Alfred Bindey, for common assault, was sentenced to three months’ hard labor. John Tancred, charged with breaking and entering, in whose case two juries had failed to agree, was remanded on bail till next criminal sittings. Henry McGill was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment for receiving stolen property. Richard Henry Pratt, charged with stealing cattle at Ngahauranga, was found not guilty.
