HOSPITAL SOCIAL.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
A well-attended meeting of the Management Committee of the Hospital social was held in the Borough Council Chambers last night. Mr. J. R. Little presided. _ Three members were appointed to see Mr. H. J. Day, railway stationmaster, and make suitable _ arrangements for a special train to leave after the social for the railway works. It was announced that Messrs Sweet and Segedin intended visiting the railway camp to dispose of tickets. Word was received at the meeting that the City Band intended practising three nights a week in view of the social, and it ?.r.s resolved that Mr. J. R. Little should arrange for a pipe band to march from the Post Office to the Garirson Hall on the first night. The election of M.’sC. and Programme Committee were left in the hands of the secretaries, and it was decided to send tickets to the secretaries of the different lodges for them to sell. . After expressing the desire that all members of the general committee would assist in the sale of tickets, the meeting adjourned until next Monday evening.
