The population of New York is 4,338,322, an increase of 901,000 since 1900. The Census Bureau estimates the population of th© United States in 1910 will be between 90,000,000 and 95,000,000. THE TARIFF LAW BOARD. (Received September 13, 11.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 13. Professor Emery, of Yale University, Mr. Reynolds, Assistant-Secretary to the Treasury, and Mr. Sanders, of Chicago, editor of the “Breeders’ Gazette,’ ’compose the Board of authorities under the tariff law to assist President Taft in the application of the maximum and minimum clauses.
