ANNUAL MEETING.
(Ter Press Association-! FEILDING, Sept. 13. The annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was held to-night. The annual .report said that the "difficulty in regard to signing Customs declarations had been overcome by the appointment of deputy-postmasters to attest signatures. During the year the shortage of trucks nuisance had been, to some extent, remedied by making Feilding a trucking depot. The opening of the Main Trunk lino was of great local importance, and had made an appreciable difference to business. Auckland and Waikato early fruits and coal came to Feilding, the people of which found a market in Auckland and the Waikato for bacon, pigs, oats, and grass seed. A new Courthouse had been built and opened during the year, and a coroner appointed. In spite of the recent financial stress, traders in the district stated that thenaccounts were in better order now than they had been for years.
