FATAL FALL FROM TRAM. (Ter Press Association.! AUCKLAND, September 13. Andrew McLeod, .aged 48, fell off a tram car on Saturday afternoon. He was found to be suffering from concussion of the brain. He was removed to the hospital, and died there yesterday. CHILD FOUND DROWNED. STRATFORD, September 13. A child named Clarence John Pearson, aged 18 months, was found drowned at Kiore Creek on Saturday afternoon At the inquest yesterday a ver■ct of accidental drowning was returned. THE SOCKBURN RAILWAY FATALITY. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 13 At the inquest on John McTavish, who was killed on Saturday as the result of the express from the south running into his trap at the fcockburn railway crossing, a verdict of accidental death was returned, with a rider that the Railway Department might consider the question of placing a oesmg keeper at the crossing where the accident occurred. OLD AGE PENSIONER. DROWNED. GORE, September 13. An old age pensioner. Win. Stokes, aged 73 years, was found drowned at Winding Creek, M 7 aikaia, last evening. FATAL CYCLING ACCIDENT. DUNEDIN, Sept. 13. Mrs. Thomas Bishop, aged 64 years, an old resident of Balclutha, died this afternoon as the result of an accident yesterday. While she and her daughter were walking to church yesterday morning, a cyclist U3,med Ingram collided with her while endeavoring to pass a trap, 1 knocking her down. She appeared to be recovering from the effects of the accident, but this morning she became worse and sank rapidly. The cause of death was haemorrhage of the brain.
