GISBORNE SEWERAGE.

THE SCHEME APPROVED BY EXPERTS.

The conference of experts to whom the Gisborne sewerage scheme was submitted for report met in Wellington yesterday. Tlio&3- present were: Dr. Frengley (Chief Health Officer), Mr. P. W Holmes (Engineer-in-Chief to the Public Works Department), and Mr. Outhbert, of Christchurch, The following summary of the result of the conference was wired to His Worship the Mayor of Gisborne in the afternoon: “Conference arranged for 26th ult. had to be deferred till to-day. Outcome has been satisfactory to all concerned in conference, ana will, I am quite certain, satisfy your borough.— Frengley.” ‘lSewerage conference all this morning. Scheme will be passed by Public Works and Health Departments.—Marchant.” - It may be mentioned that Mr. Cuthbert, who is a drainage engineer of note, had previously approved of the scheme. /
