ENGLISH INVOICES ARBITRARILY INCREASED. United Press Association —Copyright LONDON, Sept. 13. The “Daily Mail’s” New York correspondent reports that British importers are suffering from the ruthless acts of American appraisers, since the Tarriff Act, values on invoices are often arbitrarily increased by 40 per cent. The importers’ only remedy is the law courts.
