THE NEW ALPINE MINE.

(Special to “Times..”) GREYMOUTE, Sept. 16. The New Alpine mine manager’s report for the week ending September 7th is as follows: —During the w?*k the north drive was extended 10ft; total north 170 ft. We are _ alongside the hanging wall* but there is no foot wall. Values remain low. there is tho usual body of stone showing In tbe stopes. No. 9 stope is taking ail the reef from below 50ft intermediate level, and expect to make a start in the old stopes above this level m a days. The stone is still going south in No. 8 stope, and is up to Bft m width. One hundred and lorty-two tons were paddocxed, making a total to date of 410 tons.
