TPer Press Association.l MARTON, Sept. 16. The weather was beautiful for the second day of the Rangitikei Racing Club’s spring meeting. The attendance was good. The totalisator returns for both days totalled £10,223, as against £6739 for the spring meeting held at Bulls. The following were the results of the racing:— Ngaio Hack Hurdle Handicap, 1§ miles.—W aim aria 1, Waipunehu 2, Nova 3. Also ran: Mount Cook, Erl King, Jackman, and Moscow. Won by half a length all out. Time, 2min 50 l-ssee.
Telegraph Handicap. 5 furlongs.— Lady Medallist 1, Waikaraka 2, Marton 3. Also ran: Overtime. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 3sec._ . Clifton Steeplechase, about "miles. —Lingerer 1. Kauroa 2, Lovell 3. Also ran: Chief, Te Kainni, and Prizeman. The two former fell. Won by six lengths. Time, smin Isec. Killeymoon Hack Race, 6 furlongs. —Genuine 1, Kilindini 2, Te Roti 3. Also ran: Tawhaki, Captain Bell, Cauldron, Clangkton, Kaiwhata, Merriletta and Morsehead. Time, Imin 4sec. Ngatiapa Hack Steeplechase, about 2-1 miles.—Whimper 1, Gibaro 2, Senorita 3. Also ran: Oryx, Ngawaka, Te Kainui, King John, Aesop, Whipcord, Papakura, and Monty. Won oleverly by half a length. Time, 4min 20 4-5 sec. September Handicap, 1 mile.—lranui 1, Roosevelt 2, Moloch 3. Also ran: \ Sir Frisco, Irish Rifle, Sir Prize, Wee Trinket, Investment. Dolce, Toa Tiihi, and Llanwern. Won by a neck. Time Imin 45sec. Welter Hack Race, 6 furlongs.— Notorious 1, First Consul 2, Hiwera 3. Also ran: Buoyant, Fiddler, Chase Mab, Paparaeha. Stevens, Quick March and Rapu. Won easily. Time, Imin 17sec. WANQANUJ WEIGHTS, m ' ; , .. WAMANUI. Sept. 16. The following weights have been declared for the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting:— . „ , Gouville Hurdles, 1 mile 5 furlongs. —Waimaria 11.6, Stayboy 11.4, Wirral 10.5, Whimper 10.5, Chase Mab, Clemency, Feu de Joie 9.10, Waipunehu 9.6, Commonwealth 9.2, Moose 9.1, Prizeman, Lothair, Moscow, Tambour Major, Loch Guard 9.0.
