Mr Leslie Tarleton, an Australian, who served in the South African war, has joined Mr Roosevelt’s party at Kapiti. Mr Roosevelt writes: “Tarleton is a famous hunter, -who has never visited England. It is exceedingly interesting to meet men who have typified in their lives the deeds and the greatnesj of the English Empire, yet have never seen England.
