MAGISTERIAL
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
(Before Mr. W. A. Barton, S.M.) ALLEGED INCENDIARISM. The sequel to the mysterious outbreaks of fire which have been disturbing Gisborne residents lately, was commenced in the Police Court, when Thomas Francis Foster and William Patrick Sulldvan, who were arrested on Friday night, were charged that on the 24th of September they did wilfully set fire to the boat shed of the Gisborne Rowing Club. Sergeant Hutton applied for a remand for a week. Mr. Barton granted a remand till next Friday. “Let these young boys be kept away from other prisoners,” said his Worship. “I will, as far as possible,” replied the Sergeant. Mr. Barton: “All right. I know accommodation is limited.” ANOTHER CHANCE
