The police seized three mops dipped in kerosene at a house close to Bingley, occupied during Mr. Asquith’s visit by the Woman’s Social Political Union. The suffragettes admit they purchased the articles with the view of firing the tarpaulins covering the glass roofs of the hall, but the leader overruled the idea.
PROTESTS AGAINST FORCIBLE FEEDING. Radical newspapers protest against the forcible feeding of hunger strikers. The Pankhursts are preparing to institute proceedings, on the ground that the law only sanctions forcible administration of food in the case of insane people.
