SPAIN AND MOROCCO.
CAPTURE OF GURUGTJ. United Press -Association —Copyright. MOROCCO, Sept, 29. The Spaniards occupied Mount Gurugu at 7 this morning. THE POWERS’ REPLY TO MULAI HAFID. (Received September 30, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 30. The Powers’ unanimous reply to Mulai Ha-fid is that Spain’s operations are a matter exclusively concerning the Spanish and Moorish Governments. There is tremendous “Maffiking” throughout Spain over the-,capture of Gurugu. [Mulai Hafid, Sultan of Morocco, had protested to the Powers against the Spanish operations against the turbulent and piratical Riffs, on the ground that they were a violation of the Treaty of Algeciras.]
