[The boycott arose at Kinkian on account of the acquittal of a British inspector on a charge of the manslaughter of a Chinaman.] AMERICAN CUSTOM-HOUSE METHODS. NEW YORK, Sept. 29. The “New York Times” states that Customs officers, suspecting smuggling, stripped the wife and children of Azecz Khayat, a wealthy Armenian, to the skin, but found nothing. Khayat is suing for damages. UNPRECEDENTED COLD IN MEXICO. MEXICO, Sept. 30. Unprecedented cold- has seriously damaged the corn crop in Mexico. The loss is estimated at 20 million dollars.
