HOCKEY.

LADIES’ MATCH—TOWN v. COUNTRY. An interesting hockey match was played yesterday afternoon on the Domain, between teams representing the ladies of the town and country. The game resulted in a win for the town ladies by 4 goals to 1. Misses Vera Walters (2), Ruth MVcolm. and Nora Harper scored for the winners, and the country goal was obtained by Miss Rose. Miss Nor,a Harper, who played extremely well, was successful in winning the trophy presented by Mrs 1 . R. N. Jones for the best player on the winning side, and Miss Kate Sherrat-t and 'Miss Teitjen showed good form for the visitors. Afternoon tea was provided by the town ladies.
