MARCONI STATIONS PURCHASED BY BRITISH GOVERNMENT.

Mr. Sydney Buxton, PostmasterGeneral, announced that the Post Office has bought the -Marconi coast stations, except Poldhn and CHMen, which are for shore to shore communication with America, for £15,000' sterling, me u ing ethergraph improvements for the next 14 years, and has also purchased Lloyds’ system of communication with ships. Lloyds’ will receive , the value of plant and stations, and is to e titled to information, regarding the movements of ships. The Post ce might use any ethergraph sys em. Moreover, in wartime, the. two , longdistance .stations are to be inc u e m the arrangement.
