LONDON WOOL SALES. United Press Association —Copyright LONDON, Sept. 30. Wool: There is a strong American demand, New Zealand greasy halfbreds reached the highest prices of the series. Titi brand sold l at 12£d. At the wool auctions a miscellaneous selection was offered. There was a brisk sale and prices were well maintained. THE MEAT MARKET—SIR JOSEPH WARD’S OPINION. AUCKLAND, Oct. 1. On being questioned to-day regarding the price of New Zealand mutton in London, Sir Joseph Ward said lie did not think that the position of the market could be improved by further advertising. He thought that tne remedy was to regulate the shipments at this end, and he intended to inquire into this aspect of the question.
