THE DUNLOP ROAD RACE. fPnn Piikss Association.l CHRISTCHURCH, October 2. Fine weather was experienced to-day for the opening of the season in cricket, bowling, and tennis. The competition matches will commence next Saturday. Nearly 200 local entries have been received for the Dunlop Road race, Timaru to Christchurch, to be run on October 30 th. WARRNAMBOOL MELBOURNE ROAD RACE. Unitbd I’nicss Association —Copykioiit (Received Oct. 3, 5.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 3. The Warrnambool-Melbourne road race was won by Ivnaggs in 7 hours 32 minutes 29 seconds.
