QUARTERLY RETURNS. The following is the quarterly return of the business transacted at the Magistrate’s Court at Gisborne during the quarter ended September 30, as prepared by Air. J. Applications heard in Court of Chambers 7; orders made (other than on judgment summons) 4; plaints entered 264~- distress warrants issued 10; judgment summonses issued 21; orders made on iudgment summonses 14; warrants of committal issued 2, executed 1 ; writs of arrest issued 0; summonses and other processes served within two miles 225; distress warrants issued within two miles 25, over two miles 14. Amount of civil fees paid in stamps f-2;OS 2s; licensing fees paid in stamps £3. Old age pensions: Granted 20, refused 0, pending 1. CRIAIINAL BUSINESS.
