Mr. Herbert Gladstone, Home Secretary, allows a solicitor to visit the Winson Green gaol hunger strikers. Mrs. Pankhurst states that if the Conservatives do not promise to enfranchise women after the general election, the suffragists have to pursue similar tactics as with the Liberals.
