COMING VISITORS.
COMMERCIAL CONGRESS DELEGATES.
Definite information reached the Wellington Tourist Division last week respecting the party of delegates to the recent Imperial Commerce Congress at Sydney which is to visit New Zealand tin- month. Writing to the Divisional Director, Mr C. R. C. Robieson, the Government hgent at Melbourne states that the party will consist of at least fifty-five persons, and will include a number of ladies. They will arrive at the Bluff on October lltli, and spend about three weeks in New Zealand. The exact date of tlieir arrival at Wellington is unknown, but while in the South they Will probably visit Lake Wakatipu, and be entertained by the of Commerce at Dunedin and Christchurch. The journey north from Wellington will most likely be made via the Wanganui river, and some time is sure to be spent at Rotorua. Mr Robieson expects- to receive a cable message giving the exact dates when the party will be in the different' centres.
Sir Albert Spicer, the president of the Congress, will not be a member of the party, as it is understood that he will be detained in Australia for another week. He will, however, reach the Bluff on October 18th, and make a Hying journey right through tho Dominion. He is due to leave Auckland for Suva on October 27th. The party will include the special representatives of the London “Chronicle” and “The Times.” Its members will be as follow:—Mr John Brown, junr. (Aberdeen), Mr and Mrs Brigg s (Clecklieaton), Mr and Mrs Scott (Dover), Mr G. H. Pattinson (Kendall), Mr and Mrs Fitten (Ossett), Mr and Mrs John Peate (Leeds), Mr and Mrs Chadwick (Kidderminster), Mr and Mrs Skinner (Calgary, Canada), Mr Whxteley (Bedford), Mr. Mrs. and Miss And.erson (Capetown), Mr Sellar (Aberdeen), Mr and - Mrs Itoyse (Manchester), Mr K. C. Batley (Heckmondwilce), Mr G. H. Wilson (Ossett), Mr C. B. Johnson (York), Mr L. Foster (York), Mr. Pyrah. (Ileckmondwike), Mr G. H. Wilson (Osett), Mr C. B. Johnson (York), Mr L. Foster (York), Mr Pyrah (Heckmondwike), Mr Baron (Kendall), Mr Braithwaite (Leeds), Mr and Airs Booth (Wakefield)-, Mr \\ . Cunningham (Dumfernline), Air Smith (Dewsbury), M;r and Alr s Barrow (London), Air and Airs Ives (Yeadon), Air and Miss Dixon (Sheffield), Air. Larke (Guelph, Canada), Mr Puck (Cheltenham), Mr and Mrs Palliser-Martin' (Bristol), Air. IT. L. Risley (Bristol), and a few others whose names are not yet known. One of the New Zealand delegates who returned by the Moana from Sydney told a “New Zealand Times” representative that the party would probably visit the cold lakes in the South, and spend - a couple of days each in Dunedin and Christchurch. There was also a likelihood, he said, that after reaching New Zealand the party would split up into two, and tour the country in different ways.
