WAGES IN BRITAIN.
A DOWNWARD MOVEMENT. United Peers Association —Copyright (Received October 10, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 9. The Board of Trade Labor Department’s report shows that a steady downward movements of wages began early in 1908. Ouring the year 930,000 work people's wages were reduced. The wages of 1,091,586 were reduced in the first six months of 1909, entailing a reduction of £67,744 weekly.
