CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DELEGATES.
ARRIVAL IN THE DOMINION
[Pnu Pituss Association.! INVERCARGILL, Oct. 11. The Imperial Chamber of Commerce delegates arrived by the s.s. Moeraki after a pleasant voyage. Mr. Mark Cohen, on behalf of the Government, welcomed the visitors, to whom the Westport Chamber telegraphed through the Premier, expressing a hope that they would visit the West Coast. After discussion it was reluctantly decided that owing to the limited time the delegates had at their disposal they would be unable to avail themselves of the invitation. The party divided at Invercargill, 28 going to the Lakes and 19 to Dunedin. Tlie tour of the Dominion will extend over a fortnight. Three days will be spent in the Lake District. The party arrive at Dunedin on the 13th, Christchurch on the loth, Wellington on the 20th, Rotorua on the 24th, Auckland on the 23rd, leaving for Sydney on the 25th. The party numbered 45, of whom 35 were Imperial Chamber of Commerce delegates. They were officially welcomed. The visitors were taken in fourteen motor cars round neighboring country and subsequently entertained at luncheon in the Town Hall, where cordial speeches were made. Some of the party went by special train to the Lakes, the others going on to Dunedin.
