THE INQUEST

| Pint Pkksh Association.! FEILDING, Oct. 12. Au inquest was field to-day beioro Mr E. Goodbehcre, Coroner, on the death of Fireman Williamson which took place at Plastic's Hotel fire last Tuesday morning. A verdict was returned that death was caused by a falling chimney, with a rider that " hotels and public boardinghouses should be provided with fire-fighting appliances. Before the same Coroner an enquiry was held into the cause of the fire. The jury returned a verdict that the fire started in the telephone room on the ground floor and that there was nothing to show how it originated.
