FARMING COLONY IN AUSTRALIA. United Pricbs Association —r'oi’YßioHT PERTH, Oct. 14. Files of the London “Daily Mirror” state that the Householders’ League proposes to establish a women s colony in West Australia, composed entirely of spinsters and widows. Under no circumstances will, men be allowed to purchase land. The colony will bo established near Albany, where Miss Crawford, one of the promoters, who recently visited Australia, has secured 15 homestead farms. She declares the women are coming to Australia because there they have the franchise and. the protective advantage which it affords.
