BUSINESS NOTES.
To-day is pay day in connection with the Gisborne Permanent Building Society. Messrs Brownlee and Grenfell invite tenders, to close, at noon on Thursday next, October 21st, for alterations and additions to a residence at Whataupoko. Messrs J. J. Niven and Co. announce that they will have a working exhibit of gas, oil, and petrol engines at the Agricultural Show. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Common, Shelton and Co. and Dalgety and Co. advertise in this issue lists of their present entries for the Matawhero stock sales on Thursday next. A reward of 10s is offered for the recoverj T of two lost £1 notes, to bo returned to the “Times” office. Attention is called to the fine selection of pianofortes at the London Piano and Music House (Mr. J. H. Gittos) at the new address, next Messrs Reynolds and Co.’s Gladstone Road. The gramophone narlor here is very well arranged, and is well worthy of inspection by all persons interested in “talking machines.” ,
