THE WELLINGTON LIFT FATALITY WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. At the inquest on the, body of Thos. Donovan, the young man who was killed in a lift well at Winder’s ironmongery establishment, the Coroner, in summing up, said that it seemed bable that the deceased had gone*into the well for the purpose of using the lift, -when, at the same time, the lift was in mot-iop, and that he was caught by the balance weights. He returned a verdict of death by misadventure.
