CHRISTCHURCH MOTOR FATALITY.
PROPOSED MILITARY COURT OP INQUIRY.

CHRISTCHURCH, October 18
A press representative asked Inspector Gillies to-day if there was any news regarding the motor car fatality, and he replied: “No, you will have to wait a hit.” It is understood that the papers connected with the fatality have been forwarded to the Minister of Justice. It is also understood that the officer commanding the Canterbury Volunteer and Militia District is in communication, with the chief of the General Staff (Colonel Robin, C. 8.), on the subject of holding a military Court ,to inquire into the circumstances connected with the fatality. The late Captain Pavitt h?,7:;;£ been on dufo' at the time of the fatuity, his relatives ivill, it is understood, receive compensation from the Defence Department. The amount of such compensation is not known.
