MEETING OF DIRECTORS

The monthly meeting of the directors of the Y.M.C.A. was held last .’evening. Mr. F. S. Malcolm presided. The election of officers took place, as follows: President, Mr. F. S. Malcolm (reelected); vice-presidents, Messrs J. R. Kirk and H. Adair; hon. treasurer, Mr J. C. Aicken (re-elected); hon. secretary, Mr. J. Dawson (re-elected); auditor, Mr. C. Buscke (re-elected). - Estimates for the coming year were considered, including a grant towards a library and additional gymnasium appliances. Gratification was expressed at the progress made in the physical department, this being particularly seen at the gymnasium- display. It was decided at the -meeting that, in view of the progress made, to tender a banquet to the athletic clubs on Thvr-sday evening next. . It was -resolved that during Show Week .the rooms should be thrown open to country visitors. . The report that a Boy Scouts movement had been started, with the Y.M.C.A. as headquarters,' met with the approval of the directors, and they decked to give all possible assistance to the' movement. . , It was decided to have a group.photograph of the officers of the Association and gymnasium members Trained ioi the Association. .
